This volume contains minutes, correspondence, circulars, and related papers compiled by the CPGB's Science and Technology Sub-Committee (STSC) during the period 1964–1985. The STSC was set up to "inform and advise the Executive Committee on policy matters arising from developments in the field of science". The documents mainly focus on energy policy, but subjects such as drugs policy, genetic engineering, and the relationship between automation and capitalism are also covered.
