HM Treasury is a British government department responsible for devising and implementing public finance and economic policy.
This volume contains selected departmental records from the period 1944–1961. Much of the documentation concerns the institutions of the World Bank, such as the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Finance Corporation. Other subjects covered include the Lend-Lease programme, sterling area negotiations, and UK-tied aid.
