This volume contains papers relating to North America compiled by Vaughan and the British Embassy. The papers provide a comprehensive overview of Anglo-American diplomatic and commercial relations during the early 19th century. Subjects covered range from the North East boundary and colonial trade to slavery and American domestic politics. A summary of the dispatches to Sir George Canning, Viscount Dudley, the Earl of Aberdeen, and Lord Palmerston is also included (1825-1834).
