Collection: Military Intelligence Files: Land, Sea & Air, 1938–1974 Volumes Monthly Far East Air Force Intelligence Summaries, 1951-1960
The Far East Air Force (FEAF) was established in 1943 to oversee all Royal Air Force (RAF) assets and operations in South East Asia. This volume contains monthly intelligence summaries compiled by FEAF on behalf of the Air Ministry during the period 1951-1960.
The summaries are divided into three sections: section one covers ‘Intelligence and Current Operations’; section two consists of ‘Special Articles’ on a variety of topics; and section three is a ‘Political Digest’ of the region.
Both the People’s Republic of China and Soviet Union receive a great deal of attention from analysts. The air campaign in Korea also forms a significant portion of the early reports, while the Malayan Emergency features throughout.
Series: Air 40 (Air Ministry: Periodical Returns, Intelligence Summaries and Bulletins).

We recommend trying the following:
- Try a different combination of terms and queries to try and match your result.
- Use 'themes' or 'subjects' directly in your search query, e.g. "19th century colonial administration Africa" - 'Africa' being the broad subject.
- Try using the advanced search facility.
