This volume includes a range of government reports related to natural resources in Southern Rhodesia dated between 1897 to 1981. One focus for these papers is on the development of agriculture and farming. Commencing with the Natural Resources Board (1942-1981), these papers then cover agriculture (1897-1973), veterinary research (1923-1980), and reports of the Surveyor General (1897-1980). Related papers on water, wildlife, and forests also feature. Another core focal point for these items is with regard to power generation, from the records on mines (1897-1971) to the supply of power in general and electricity in particular.
