Miscellaneous Reports, 1923-1961
Collection: Uganda Under Colonial Rule, in Government Reports, 1903–1961 Volumes Miscellaneous Reports, 1923-1961
This volume includes a range of miscellaneous government reports of Uganda dated between 1923 to 1961. The Printing Department was established in 1900 for the production of the Protectorate government's publications. The most important of these at the outset was the Uganda Gazette, which was issued fortnightly, and contained, inter alia, all legislation as it was enacted. The Meteorological Service, Statistical Department and Postal Service of Uganda all started as state services. However, as the years passed they merged with neighbouring countries' services, and then finally came under the purview of the East Africa High Commission.

- Try a different combination of terms and queries to try and match your result.
- Use 'themes' or 'subjects' directly in your search query, e.g. "19th century colonial administration Africa" - 'Africa' being the broad subject.
