Printed and typescript material, together with numerous newspaper cuttings and journal articles. The majority of these documents relate to conferences of the Organisation for African Unity. The key theme for these conferences is African countries' relationships both with the world and with each other. Issues of international relations include the OAU's relationships with international organisations such as the United Nations, issues with countries closer to home such as South Africa, and the intracontinental OAU Assistance Fund for the Struggle against Colonialism and Apartheid.
