A diverse collection of books, papers and correspondence relating to a wealth of material concerning the 4th Earl of Minto and those closest to him. Included is the engagement book of the Countess of Minto, 1906-1910; statements of accounts; correspondence and newspaper articles relating to the Earl's assumption of the viceroyalty (1905) and later his death (1914). There is also correspondence concerning the erection of a memorial stature of the Earl in Calcutta as well as a scrap-book containing watercolour scenes with signatures of ladies in India that was offered to the Countess of Minto.
