The Bolton Whitman Fellowship
The Bolton Whitman Fellowship
Collection: Walt Whitman and his Fellowship of Supporters in Bolton, 1891–1913 Volumes The Bolton Whitman Fellowship
ZWN/2. This grouping contains reports of events related to the Eagle Street College and one of its members, Dr. R. M. Bucke, the 'College' itself being a term adopted by the group of Whitman followers in Bolton who made a study of Whitman's life and work. Furthermore there are papers delivered to the College which perform analyses of his work and core themes relating to it alongside College songs and poems which are poetic works in their own right. Newspaper cuttings in this grouping recall details of various events involving group members between c.1890 and 1955; in particular they mention a likely source for a real 'loving cup' which can be seen in Group ZWN/12.

- Try a different combination of terms and queries to try and match your result.
- Use 'themes' or 'subjects' directly in your search query, e.g. "19th century colonial administration Africa" - 'Africa' being the broad subject.
- Try using the advanced search facility.
- Use a broader search and use the filters on the left-hand side to refine your results.
