This volume hosts material from the Communist Party of Great Britain’s (CPGB) Sixteenth National Congress. This was eventually held in 1943 after being cancelled due to the outbreak of the Second World War. The CPGB had been vehemently anti-war until Germany declared war on the Soviet Union in 1941.
