Material from the original ‘Political Bureau’ (later changed to ‘Political Committee’ of the Communist Party of Great Britain. The establishment of the Political Bureau directly mirrored Lenin’s own Political Bureau he had established in the recently founded Soviet Union and was a primary decision making vehicle within the Party apparatus. The documents detail the early teething periods of the CPGB, demonstrating the actions taken on a domestic and international level to expand the party’s influence.
