This volume contains materials relating to political economy and trade, published by the Ministry of Information (MOI) and the Central Office of Information (COI) during the period 1938-1996. While most items date from the post-war era, a significant number were issued during the Second World War.
A wide range of subjects are covered, from British exports and trading relations with different countries to the performance of pound sterling and international economic institutions. Documents produced by and/or for the Board of Trade, the British Overseas Trade Board, HM Customs and Excise, the Economic Information Unit, the Department of Energy, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, HM Treasury, and the Department of Trade and Industry are included.
